A:  The wheels are made of cast aluminum. 

Q:  How are the wheels made?

A:  They are low pressure cast.  There are three different types of manufacturing processes: (in order of strength)

Gravity Cast- molten aluminum is poured into a cast via gravity.

Low-Pressure Cast- molten aluminum is poured under pressure to eliminate air pockets and increase strength.

Forged- the strongest but an expensive process most two and three piece wheels are made this way.
